MAN Truck & Bus UK Ltd is the UK subsidiary of the MAN Commercial Vehicles Group, one of Europe's largest automotive organisations. The company manufacturers a wide range of trucks from 7.5 tonnes up to 44 tonnes, and has just won the 2008 International Truck of the Year award for its newly launched TGX / TGS range – a range which also boasts the most powerful production truck in Europe – the V8-powered, 680bhp TGX. This is the seventh time MAN has won this most prestigious award, and is an unprecedented record among Europe’s truck makers.
MAN Truck & Bus UK is based in Swindon and supports a nationwide Network of 70 Truck Centres and Service Centres. The company has commenced delivery of over 7,000 military support vehicles to the British Armed Forces as part of its £1 billion contract with the MoD, believed to be the largest single truck order in Europe for 25 years.
